About Michael
My projects are largely influenced by the rich historical significance of Southern California, its natural beauty, vibrant arts scene, and distinctive architectural style that reinterprets classic Californian suburban and commercial buildings. This passion led me to pursue a career in architectural design. Over the years, I have had the privilege of exploring various professional opportunities throughout Southern California—including roles in fast food, gas stations, security, federal law enforcement, architectural design, and, ultimately, independent artistry. My journey began with experimentation, and like many artists, I was initially critical of my own work. However, after receiving positive feedback on my acrylic paintings, I transitioned from simple outlines to fully realized drawings that evolved into unique artistic expressions.
I am committed to using environmentally responsible materials—such as eco-friendly paints and recycled papers—in my artwork. My drawing style features clean, elegant forms and richly varied textures, resulting in warm, contemporary designs that are both visually striking and enduring. With over thirty years of experience refining my artistic abilities, my dedication was validated when a collector, moved by the emotion and attention to detail in my work, requested to purchase six pieces. This pivotal moment shifted my hobby into a profession, and I continue to look forward to new opportunities for growth and creative expression.
